Slow Cooker Chili
I started with a recipe from Zite but drastically modified it.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs. lean ground beef
- 1 large yellow onion
- 2 bell peppers
- 3 small jalapeno peppers
- 1 bottle Heinz Chili Sauce
- 6 tbls chili powder
- 6 tbls ground cumin
- 4 tbls garlic powder
- 1 tbls coarse grind black pepper
- 1 tbls salt
Instructions
- Spray cooker pot with non-stick spray.
- Solice the onion, chop peppers and lay across the bottom of the pot.
- As you break the meat apart with your hands, put it into the slow cooker.
- Mix chili sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. (In a bowl would be fine.)
- Pour the mixture over the ground beef and stir it into the meat.
- Cook on high for 4 hours.
- After each hour, stir to break up the meat.
