Pralines, Microwave
Glady tried numerous recipes. This seemed to work the best. Maybe it has something to do with our altitude - 2620 feet. - Larry
Ingredients
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 lb. light or golden brown sugar (not dark)
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 2 Tbsp. butter, room temperature
- 4 qt. glass microwavable bowl
- Non-stick foil
Instructions
- Mix brown sugar and cream in the glass bowl.
- Microwave on high 13 minutes.
- Add butter and pecans to microwaved mixture in bowl.
- Beat hard with a wooden spoon for a minute or so.
- Drop by the spoonsful onto the foil.
- Let cool and harden.
- Yields about 20 large pralines.
- Store in airtight container.
- These disappeared before our Mardi Gras barely began.
