Old Fashioned Coleslaw

I usually double this recipe and use one medium head of cabbage... no need to measure the cabbage.

Ingredients

• 1 tsp. salt
• 1/4 tsp. pepper
• 1/2 tsp. dry mustard powder
• 1 tsp. celery seeds
• 2 Tbsp. sugar
• 1/2 tsp. dill seeds
• 1/2 cup shredded carrots
• 1/4 cup each chopped green and red pepper
• 1 tsp. grated onion
• 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
• 1/3 cup cider vinegar
• 3 cups cored and finely sliced or chopped cabbage. (I use the thin grater blade on my Cuisinart.)

Instructions

1. Place ingredients in a water-tight container in the order given.
2. Mix well.
3. Refrigerate.
4. Turn container to spread dressing.
5. Best made several hours or a day ahead.
6. Keeps 3-4 days.
