Glady's Blue Cheese Salad Dressing
A family favorite. Also makes a good vegetable dip.
Ingredients
- 1 medium sized clove garlic
- 1 thin slice red onion
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 Tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 4 oz. crumbled blue cheese
Instructions
- In your food processor, turn the blade on and drop in the clove of garlic to mince it.
- Scrape the bowl and process again to make it finely chopped.
- Again with the processor running, drop in the red onion slice to mince it.
- Add mayo, sour cream and lemon juice and process until well mixed.
- Add 3/4 of the blue cheese and process.
- Then add the final 1/4 and process briefly, just to mix, so the dressing has small lumps of blue cheese.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Refrigerate. Keeps 3-4 weeks.
