Birdsong's Trip to the UK and Ireland

Nov. 2 - To San Francisco
Aer Lingus to San Francisco, 10 ½ hour flight. Arrived on November 2, Adrienne’s birthday. They met us to have dinner at the Sixteen Mile House in Millbrae.
People ask us, “What was your favorite place on your trip?” While we did have some favorite places, the PEOPLE we met were the most special—some we just talked to, but especially those who went out of their way to show us their town or to help us out. THAT’s special, and not something we are likely to experience again in the future if we only go on booked tours. It was the one-on-one in the pubs that did it!

- We walked an average of five miles a day.
- Larry estimates he tried over 50 ales during the trip. Would have been more, but some pubs did not have enough variety.
- Larry ate kangaroo, pigeon, rabbit and a cute little deer.
